Traffic Management Implementation
(Formerly Level 2 Traffic Management)
This qualification is for personnel who are required to setup Traffic Control Guidance Schemes (TCGSs) also known as Traffic Control Plans (TCPs) in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans.
Traffic Management Implementation (formerly referred to as Level 2 Traffic Management) is aimed at persons required to read, interpret, and implement traffic management plans and install and remove signs and devices in accordance with procedures set out in Part 3 – 8th Issue of Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices July 2018 (MUTCD).
To achieve a successful outcome in the Traffic Management Course, participants will be assessed in a range of activities:
The in-house course is delivered to new industry entrants in 8 hours. This timeframe may be extended if additional training needs are identified during the course.
This course consists of a written component and a practical component that is completed on live sites involving three site set ups under varying complexities for which a Logbook is to be completed and signed off by a recognised site supervisor at each site.

The right way to define the requirements for monitoring a TGS while in operation
Certificates issued at course completion
At the completion of the course a Statement of Attainment and Wallet sized card will be issued. This is valid for 3 years. A refresher course is also offered for renewal of the competency.
This Practical Component needs be completed within a maximum of 3 months after completing the theoretical training session be deemed appropriate to achieve the Statement of Attainment.
